Dried Spanish Needle (bidens alba)

This listing is for 1 oz dried Bidens alba leaf, also known as Spanish Needle, Beggarticks, Shepherd's Needle, and Pitchfork Weed. This product will be harvested and dried to order.

This product is organically and sustainably grown on our Southwest Florida farm using permaculture principles. We do not use any pesticides, fungicides, or herbicides. It is hand-picked and foraged, gently washed, and then dehydrated at low temperatures in very small batches to ensure the best quality product. 

Made in a cottage food operation that is not subject to Florida's Food Safety Regulations. This product has not been evaluated and is not regulated by the FDA.

CAUTION: While Bidens alba is loved for its nutrition and amazing healing properties, it is a plant known as a hyperaccumulator. This particular plant absorbs cadmium and lead. Our Bidens alba is never foraged and collected anywhere except our property where we can ensure it is not growing in an area where excess cadmium would be found (such as mines, industrial sites, or large-scale agriculture areas). We do not use any fertilizer on our Bidens alba. We choose to only pick the young leaves of the youngest plants (before they flower) in an attempt to minimize possible exposure to heavy metals. This plant is a blessing but should be used with reverence and extreme caution.
